Oversee the daily execution of production plans across the entire sheet metal manufacturing process, including cutting, punching, bending, welding, and grinding. Manage delivery schedules, production capacity, yield, 6S standards, and equipment to ensure efficient and well-organized mass production for a team of approximately 125 employees.
Lead process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify and address key workshop issues such as capacity bottlenecks, process waste, low labor efficiency, rework, quality defects, and poor workplace organization. Implement practical improvement solutions to optimize process flow, workstation layout, and operating standards, driving measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Manage and develop a large production team, including workforce scheduling, skill grading, performance evaluation, employee retention, and skills training. Improve employee engagement and execution, balance production capacity across processes, and build a stable, efficient, and highly capable sheet metal production team.
Establish and maintain quality standards for welding, bending, punching, grinding, and other processes. Reduce recurring quality issues, appearance defects, and dimensional deviations. Optimize inspection and quality control procedures to reduce rework and scrap rates.
Manage equipment maintenance, inspection, and preventive maintenance for punching machines, press brakes, laser cutting equipment, welding equipment, and other production machinery. Implement safety management procedures and ensure compliance with safe operating practices to prevent workplace accidents and unsafe operations.
Establish and maintain production data records, including sheet metal production capacity, labor efficiency, scrap costs, and on-time delivery performance. Use data-driven methods to manage production and continuously improve operational efficiency.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Challenge conventional practices, identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and implement effective solutions for production, quality, and workplace management.
5+ years of experience in sheet metal workshop or production management. Experience managing a large sheet metal production team of 80+ employees is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of the complete sheet metal manufacturing process, including laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and grinding, with a solid understanding of process planning, equipment operation, and quality control.
Proven experience in production improvement, including cost reduction, productivity enhancement, quality improvement, process optimization, and workplace organization.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage large teams, improve execution, and build a stable and efficient production workforce.
Strong sense of responsibility, practical working style, ownership, and decision-making ability.
Strong execution, problem-solving, innovation, and stress-management skills, with the ability to identify problems, implement solutions, and achieve measurable results.
Candidates with proven successful cases of cost reduction, productivity improvement, quality enhancement, or workshop improvement will be highly preferred.
